Dear Families and Loved Ones,
I’m excited to introduce myself as the new executive director at Aspens at Fort Collins!
I want to let you know a little about me. My passion for seniors began in graduate school, as I was studying hospice care for my Ph.D. in psychology. After many years of working in mental health, I went back to my roots. I have been working in senior care for the last 10 years in various leadership roles. During that time, I served in independent living, assisted living and memory care. I have been an executive director for the last four years. While I’ve enjoyed helping seniors and their families at every level of care, memory care by far has the greatest hold on my heart. That’s why I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of this community. Residents with dementia are unique, and they deserve special attention and guidance. I love helping seniors with dementia continue to live a purposeful life and even try new things!
I recognize this transition is not easy for anyone; but I assure you I will bring experience, stability, education and comfort to you and your loved ones. I look forward to meeting all of you in the coming days and weeks!
